The other "support" thread didn't get locked, so I suppose this will not be either.
EVE players are an incredible bunch of community. They are extremely patient, they love EVE so much that they are willing to sacrifice days, even weeks of their game time even though they are paying customers for continued service. Before RMR, there was lag. After RMR, lag only intensified, so the game turned into Mirc with a station view. After months of suffering, the lag was fixed with the late, new TQ. But before we could even enjoy playing the game shortly, another game stopping patch is released!!! So EVE players are again spending their valuable gametime on a sad clickfest, trying to log in, losing their ships, getting stuck...
EVE players have been begging literally for months for fixes to bugs that spoil their gameplay and sometimes turn fun into misery everyday. They have been repeatedly, patiently asking many fixes, reporting many bugs for drones, cynosural fields, carrries and PoS, a simple industry cancel button, etc. They have been asking questions and waiting "for weeks" for replies. In response, CCP could have released this much needed patch in smaller weekly or bi-weekly packages much earlier. Small patches could have been much easier to track and fix and they could have also eased the suffering of the long suffering, ever patient customers. Instead, typical of them, they release another "huge" chunk of boomerang after a painful 2 months! More suffering to players after a long wait...
EVE players are also unique in the sense that they embrace EVE as their own. Even in the midst of their sufferings, they can sing praises of CCP, they find excuses for CCP's mistakes and can even thank CCP for working!!! They are eager to reply to any criticism to the game with sheer defense, telling other more vocal sufferers to quit and go to WOW or even to hell!
imho, EVE players are a community that every dev could only dream of having, they are a unique community that make EVE great even sometimes inspite of CCP.
I can only bow and applaud!
